MIMO 2021: Highlights

On 10 June 2021 MIMO, the Milano Monza Motor Show, was officially inaugurated on the stage set up in front of the Milan Cathedral, with the cutting of the tricolor ribbon by the municipal and regional institutions that supported the Milano Monza Motor Show as a symbol of restart .

Since then, passers-by have been able to safely admire more than 130 automotive and motorcycle installations set up on open-air platforms from Piazza San Babila to the Castello Sforzesco, and around the imposing Milan Cathedral.
Among these 52 previews, which were presented directly by the CEOs and presidents of the brands during the Premiere Parade at 6.00 pm.

On 11 June, the monument to the driver Alberto Ascari was inaugurated in the homonymous square, the starting point of the parade of national and international journalists invited by the brands to drive their cars, to leave for the Monza National Circuit and inaugurate the Monza and dynamic part of MIMO 2021. Here, on 11, 12 and 13 June, private and passionate collectors gathered to bring their cars to the track, including 130 Tesla that conquered the circuit on 12 June.

MIMO 2021 wanted to adapt its format to the current health situation, establishing a virtual and safe dialogue with the interested parties thanks to the QR code technology and the website www.milanomonza.com, which has brought the installations to Italian homes.

The 130 models displayed on the platform were joined by 70 green cars in the Focus Electric Cars in partnership with Enel X, set up in front of the Castello Sforzesco, where users could book and test drive the models in the area.

MIMO 2021 wanted to represent the mobility of today and tomorrow, above all through the presence of hybrid and full electric cars, towards a mobility that sees the car no longer in opposition to the environment and life in the city, but integrated with others means of transport. An exhibition for everyone and for everyone, with the intention of satisfying the needs of the contemporary driver: cars for urban mobility, for families, for trips and trips outside the city, but also cars for lovers of speed and high-performance engines, to whiz on the asphalt in complete safety.

The participating brands presented real design works, bringing creations to the center of Milan that satisfy even those who, through the car, want to express their personality.
